Bio
Drafted by Hawthorn with pick 33 in the 2011 National Draft, Bradley Hill arrived at Waverley Park as the younger brother of Fremantle star Stephen Hill but quickly carved out his own formidable legacy. Renowned for his elite aerobic capacity and line-breaking speed, he became an integral component of Alastair Clarkson's game plan, providing the outside run that complemented the Hawks' inside mids during their historic premiership three-peat from 2013 to 2015. Seeking to play alongside his brother, Hill requested a trade to Fremantle ahead of the 2017 season, where his running power on the vast expanses of Optus Stadium saw him claim the Doig Medal in his debut year at the club.
Despite his success in the west, Hill sought a return to Victoria at the end of 2019, joining St Kilda on a high-profile, long-term deal. While his early tenure at Moorabbin attracted scrutiny regarding his output relative to the investment, he worked through the pressure to become one of the Saints' most reliable ball-movers across the wing and half-back. Now a veteran of the competition closing in on the 300-game milestone, Hill remains one of the league's premier runners, a status he underscored by winning the Trevor Barker Award in 2024 to complete a unique set of Best and Fairest accolades across two clubs.
