Bio
Recruited from the Bendigo Pioneers with pick 27 in the 2017 national draft, Brent Daniels established himself as a livewire small forward capable of impacting the contest through elite agility and tackling pressure. He etched his name into GWS folklore during his second season with a match-winning running goal in the dying moments of the 2019 Semi Final against Brisbane, helping propel the Giants to their maiden Grand Final appearance. While his career trajectory was stalled by persistent hamstring injuries that forced him to miss the entire 2022 season, Daniels returned to become a vital component of the club's high-octane game plan under coach Adam Kingsley.
Often operating up the ground rather than deep inside 50, Daniels is renowned as a score involvement specialist who uses his speed to break lines and harass opposition defenders. His ability to hit targets inside 50 and apply intense defensive pressure makes him a creative conduit between the midfield and the key forwards. Now a highly experienced member of the Giants' attack, Daniels is regarded as one of the competition's premier high-pressure smalls and a key driver of the club's transition game.
