Bio
The son of Anthony Daniher, Darcy Daniher arrived at Essendon as a father-son selection in the 2007 National Draft, extending one of the game's most famous family dynasties. A versatile key position prospect capable of playing at either end of the ground, he showed immediate promise upon his debut in 2008 with his poise and marking ability in defence. However, his career was severely hampered by persistent injury setbacks, most notably chronic osteitis pubis and groin issues that kept him on the sidelines for extended periods. Despite his potential, Daniher could not overcome his physical battles and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2011 season, retiring prematurely after just four years on the list.
