Recruited from Glenelg with pick 12 in the 2017 national draft, Darcy Fogarty arrived at Adelaide as a highly touted prospect known for his physical aggression and booming kick. While his talent was evident from his debut, the Lucindale native faced a slow burn in his development, spending his initial seasons fluctuating between the senior side and the SANFL as he worked to build the necessary endurance for the elite level. Despite these early continuity struggles, Fogarty eventually addressed the gaps in his game to cement himself as the focal point of the Crows' attack.
Renowned for his clinical set-shot accuracy and strong hands on the lead, Fogarty evolved into a reliable key forward capable of punishing opposition defenders for minor lapses. His physical presence and capacity to crash packs became a hallmark of the Adelaide forward line, providing a crucial structural target alongside the club's other tall options. Having inherited the famous number 32 guernsey previously worn by club legends Mark Ricciuto and Patrick Dangerfield, Fogarty has matured into a senior figure at West Lakes, leading the attack with composure as he enters his prime.
