Bio
Recruited from Mildura in Richmond’s prolific Sunraysia country zone, Darren Bower is best remembered as the middle sibling of a notable Tiger trio, arriving at Punt Road after older brother Brendan and before younger brother Nathan. A versatile utility capable of playing at either end of the ground, he broke into the senior side for a brief three-game stint during the 1987 season, managing to snag two goals. Despite being a consistent contributor at reserves level, he was unable to secure a long-term spot in the senior 22 and eventually moved to South Australia, where he forged a respectable SANFL career with Sturt.
