Bio
Recruited from Mildura, Nathan Bower was the youngest of three brothers to represent the Tigers, joining siblings Brendan and Darren at Punt Road after being selected with pick 15 in the 1989 National Draft. A lightly built utility known for his pace and efficient kicking on the run, he eventually found his niche as a disciplined tagger who could drift across half-back or the wing. His career peaked during Richmond's 1995 resurgence, where he played 20 games and famously nullified West Coast superstar Peter Matera, becoming a key contributor to the club's finals campaign. Despite that breakout season, he struggled to cement a permanent spot in the senior 22 over the long term and was delisted at the end of 1998, eventually continuing his football journey as captain-coach of the Bendigo Diggers in the VFL.
