Bio
Recruited from Central District in the SANFL with pick 40 in the 2003 National Draft, Edward Sansbury arrived at North Melbourne with a reputation as a classy ball-user and goal-kicking midfielder. Operating primarily as an outside midfielder and forward flanker, he possessed smooth skills and the ability to finish cleanly around goal. However, Sansbury struggled to translate his dominant state-league form into consistent output at AFL level, often finding it difficult to match the defensive intensity required of the top tier. He spent five seasons at Arden Street drifting in and out of the senior lineup, ultimately managing 40 games before being delisted following the 2008 season.
