Stats
Bio
A diminutive but dangerous rover, Eric Cock burst onto the scene in 1922 after graduating from the local Collingwood District side. Standing just 165cm, he used his pace and sharp goal sense to average better than a goal a game, immediately cementing his spot in the side that contested the 1922 Grand Final in his debut season. He appeared destined for a long career in the black and white until a severe knee injury in 1924 cruelly cut his time in the VFL short at just 22 years of age. While he later attempted a comeback with Melbourne and played for Northcote in the VFA, his legacy at Victoria Park continued off-field, where he returned decades later to serve as the inaugural team manager for the club's Under-19 squad.
