Bio
Frank Fleming is best remembered as the eldest distinct member of the Fleming brotherhood that represented Fitzroy during the 1930s, forming a unique family connection at Brunswick Street alongside his younger twin brothers, Ian and Keith. Born in the rugby league heartland of Kyogle, New South Wales, Fleming moved to Victoria as a youth and developed his Australian football craft with Heidelberg before earning his call-up to the VFL. He broke into the senior side midway through the 1931 season, making his debut against Melbourne and featuring again the following week against Carlton, where he booted his solitary career goal. Although his stint at the top level was limited to just two appearances, Fleming played a role in a rare sibling dynasty for the Maroons, taking the field alongside his brother Ian during his brief time in the senior lineup.
