Bio
Jack Gaudion was a strongly built utility recruited from Yarraville who battled to establish a permanent VFL career despite his connection to one of North Melbourne’s most famous families. The brother of future Kangaroos coach Charlie Gaudion and uncle to Shinboner wingman Michael, Jack arrived at Arden Street with key-position size but found senior opportunities scarce, managing just three appearances across two separate seasons. He transferred to Geelong in 1936 in search of regular football, where he booted two goals in four matches but ultimately could not secure a spot in the Hoops' starting 18. Unable to bridge the gap to consistent league standard, he departed the VFL at the end of that season and found a more permanent home in the VFA, where he became a reliable regular for Coburg.
