Bio
Debuting under the tutelage of his father, coach Charlie Gaudion, Michael Gaudion carved out his own distinct legacy at Arden Street after arriving from East Brighton. He quickly established himself as a fixture in the North Melbourne lineup, serving as a loyal one-club player throughout the late 1950s and 1960s. While his father’s coaching tenure ended shortly after Michael’s arrival, the younger Gaudion remained a key component of the Kangaroos' side for over a decade, ultimately notching up more than 150 senior games in the royal blue and white.
A classic wingman of his era, Gaudion was renowned for his blistering pace and elite kicking skills, attributes that made him a dangerous link player through the midfield. His ability to break lines and deliver the ball with precision earned him recognition well beyond North Melbourne, resulting in multiple selections for Victoria in interstate football. Regarded as one of the finest wingmen of the 1960s, he retired as a highly respected figure at the club, remembered as a consistent and skilful Shinboner who gave his all for the jumper.
