Bio
A product of the Port District Football Club, Jack Gordon has emerged as a composed and versatile prospect through the Central District and South Australian pathways. A member of the 2026 Marsh AFL Academy, he gained valuable experience training with the Adelaide Crows during the pre-season. Gordon showed enough promise as a bottom-ager to make two senior SANFL appearances for the Bulldogs in 2025. Returning to the junior grades this year, he was appointed joint vice-captain of South Australia for the Under 18 National Championships, where he played four matches before a hamstring injury interrupted the back half of his campaign.
Primarily deployed as a general defender, Gordon has also proven his ability to push up the ground and win the football as an inside midfielder. Scouts have noted his excellent composure and capacity to match up on both taller and smaller opponents in defence, while Central District coaches have praised his strong on-field communication. Although his hamstring recovery kept him from physically testing at the State Draft Combine, Gordon remains firmly on the radar of clubs and is expected to be considered as a late or rookie selection in the 2026 AFL Draft.
