Bio
Recruited from Coburg, Jack Huntington was a dangerous rover and forward whose VFL career was bookended by interruptions. After making his debut in 1914, he surprisingly returned to the VFA after just one senior appearance, only to be lured back to the MCG the following season where he established himself as a key goal-kicker. His momentum was halted when Melbourne went into recess for three years during the First World War, but he returned to the side when the club recommenced operations in 1919, briefly playing alongside his brother Stan. A consistent avenue to goal who averaged a major a game throughout his tenure, Huntington remained a fixture in the lineup until his departure following the 1920 season.
