Bio
Born into Victorian football royalty as the youngest son of Port Melbourne patriarch Norm Goss Sr, Kevin Goss carried a famous surname to South Melbourne when he was recruited from the VFA in 1980. Arriving at the Lakeside Oval with a reputation as a capable utility, he made a solid start to his VFL career, averaging 15 disposals in his debut season and showing he possessed the family's trademark competitive streak. While he managed 24 senior appearances for the Swans across two seasons, his time at the top level was ultimately cut short after a move to Hawthorn in 1983. Hoping to emulate the success of his brother Norm Jr at Glenferrie, Kevin was unable to break into the formidable Hawks senior lineup due to a severe knee injury sustained in the reserves, leaving his final league tally at 24 games solely in the red and white.
