Recruited from the Sandringham Dragons with pick two in the 2021 Pre-Season Draft, Luke Nankervis arrived at Adelaide as a tall utility with significant athletic upside. He spent his initial season developing his frame in the SANFL before breaking through for a debut late in 2023 against Melbourne, impressing immediately with his composure and intercept marking ability. Primarily utilised as a rebounding defender who can also operate on a wing, Nankervis relies on his elite aerobic tank and clean distribution to link play from the back half. While he has demonstrated the capacity to perform at the top level, he remains in the phase of establishing himself as a consistent fixture in the Crows' senior lineup.
