Hailing from the Northern Territory, Malcolm Rosas made history as the first player drafted from the Suns' Darwin Academy zone, entering the AFL as a dynamic small forward renowned for his electric pace and evasive skills. While he provided a spark with his crafty left-foot finishing and forward pressure, Rosas battled for consistency throughout his tenure at Gold Coast, often finding himself on the fringe of selection due to injuries and fluctuating form. Despite a promising stretch in 2023, he was unable to lock down a permanent position in the Suns' lineup, finishing his time at the club with 49 games over six seasons. Seeking greater opportunity, he joined the Sydney Swans ahead of the 2026 season, looking to utilise his speed and defensive intensity to cement a role in a new forward line.
