Bio
A local recruit from Frankston in the club's Mornington Peninsula zone, Mark Greene entered the VFL as a physically precocious teenager, making his senior debut at just 16 years of age. Standing 188cm and weighing 92kg, he possessed the size of a seasoned utility rather than a schoolboy, a physical advantage that saw him fast-tracked into the Saints' setup. Greene was utilised primarily as a defender and half-back, where his heavy frame allowed him to compete with mature opponents, though he found it difficult to accumulate possessions consistently at the highest level. Despite his early start and impressive build, he could not secure a regular position in the senior side, managing just seven games across two seasons before his brief top-level career concluded.
