Bio
Recruited from Halls Creek via Claremont, Sam Petrevski-Seton arrived at Carlton as the sixth pick in the 2016 National Draft carrying significant expectations due to his elite, ambidextrous kicking and composure in traffic. Known as "SPS," he was a regular fixture in the Blues' lineup for five seasons, playing 94 games and showcasing glimpses of his silky skills. However, he often struggled to define a permanent role within the team structure, shuffled frequently between half-back, the midfield, and the forward line as coaches attempted to balance his classy ball use with a need for greater contested intensity.
Seeking a fresh start and a return to Western Australia, Petrevski-Seton requested a trade to West Coast following the 2021 season. He joined the Eagles during a tumultuous period for the club and found it difficult to generate consistent form in a struggling side, often deployed as a pressure forward or utility. Despite his technical talent and high draft pedigree, he was unable to cement a spot in the Eagles' best 22 and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2023 season, ending his AFL career with 121 games.
