Bio
A product of Queensland football, Tony Lynn began his career with Morningside before joining the Brisbane Bears for their second season in 1988. His initial stint at the top level was hampered by a knee injury, restricting him to just six games before he was delisted. Lynn subsequently revitalised his career in the SANFL with Central District, where he transformed into a star utility, winning the club's best and fairest in 1992 and the Fos Williams Medal for South Australia in 1993. His standout form in state-league ranks earned him a lifeline from Carlton, where he slotted into the back pocket and played 20 games in 1994, including a qualifying final. Despite establishing himself as a solid contributor, Lynn was squeezed out of the Blues' dominant lineup during their 1995 premiership campaign, managing just six appearances that season before eventually returning to the QAFL to finish his playing days.
