Bio
Arriving at Collingwood as a father-son selection in the 2004 National Draft, Travis Cloke was the youngest and most successful of the three Cloke brothers to represent the Magpies, following their father David. He quickly developed into the cornerstone of Collingwood's forward line, renowned as the competition's premier contested mark during his prime. His physical dominance and ability to crash packs made him a nightmare for opposition defenders, serving as the focal point of the Magpies' attack during their premiership success in 2010. A two-time All-Australian and Copeland Trophy winner, Cloke's best football was imposing, though his career was frequently scrutinised due to erratic goal-kicking accuracy, a flaw that famously led to the adoption of a glove for set shots.
By the end of 2016, Cloke's output had declined and he fell out of favour at the Holden Centre, prompting a trade to the Western Bulldogs in search of greater opportunity. He managed just one season at the Whitten Oval, struggling to recapture his best form while battling mental health issues before announcing his retirement. He departed the game as Collingwood's second-highest goalkicker in history, remembered as a genuine power forward who defined the club's attack for over a decade.
