Stats
Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle with pick 14 in the 1999 National Draft, Travis Gaspar was a highly rated key position prospect whose time at the elite level was severely curtailed by persistent injuries. The younger brother of All-Australian defender Darren Gaspar, he possessed the athleticism and strong hands to operate effectively as either a key forward or defender, though recurring soft tissue and foot issues prevented him from ever establishing a consistent run of form. His career highlight occurred during the 2005 finals series where, despite spending most of the year on the sidelines, he earned a surprise recall for the Qualifying Final and retained his place for the Grand Final loss to Sydney. Gaspar remained on the Eagles' list for one final season but was forced to retire at the end of 2006 after failing to overcome his chronic physical setbacks.
