Bio
Selected as a father-son recruit in the 2018 National Draft, Will Kelly arrived at Collingwood with a rich family pedigree as the son of 1990 premiership player Craig Kelly. A versatile key position prospect capable of playing at either end of the ground, he made his debut against Hawthorn in 2020, booting a goal with his first kick before suffering a significant elbow injury later in the same match. This misfortune set the tone for a frustrating five-season tenure at the club, where persistent injury setbacks and strong competition for key defensive spots limited him to just a handful of senior appearances. Despite showing glimpses of his aerial capacity in the VFL, Kelly was unable to cement a place in the Magpies' lineup during their premiership era and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
