Bio
Recruited from Alice Springs, Adrian McAdam arrived at North Melbourne carrying a famous surname as the younger brother of Gilbert and Greg. He burst onto the scene as an electric forward with strong overhead hands and innate goal sense, producing one of the most prolific debut seasons in league history. McAdam booted seven goals on debut against Richmond and ten the following week against Sydney, finishing 1993 with 68 goals from just 17 games. However, he struggled to maintain that output as opposition scrutiny increased, and his form tapered off significantly over the next two years. Seeking a fresh start, he was traded to Collingwood for the 1996 season, but managed only a single senior appearance for the Magpies before his AFL career ended, leaving a legacy defined by a spectacular but brief window of dominance.
