Bio
The eldest of the famous McAdam brothers, Greg McAdam arrived at St Kilda in 1985 as a highly rated recruit from the SANFL. Originally from Alice Springs, he had already established himself as a star at North Adelaide, where he became the club's first Indigenous best and fairest winner and represented South Australia. A damaging centreman with a powerful frame and a sharp eye for goal, McAdam showed flashes of brilliance at Moorabbin but was restricted to just ten games by a severe knee injury that cut his VFL career short. He eventually returned to South Australia to play alongside his brother Gilbert at Central District, remembered today as a talented pioneer whose potential at the elite level was left largely unfulfilled due to fitness struggles.
