  1. 1890

A team of South Australian settlers played the Allcomers in what the Sunraysia Daily called the first recorded football match in Mildura, three months after the Mildura club was formed.

In a later season Mildura travelled to Wentworth by steamer, did not arrive until 5pm, walked several miles to the ground and had its game stopped by darkness.

  3. 1933

Collingwood's Gordon Coventry kicked 15 goals against Essendon, one of several enormous hauls that made him the most feared full-forward of his time.
